Community groups from across Jersey have been going wild for gorillas this year, designing and creating 16 ‘young’ gorilla sculptures to be displayed around the island. Funded by sponsorship or fundraising activities, this inspiring gorilla troop showcases the artistic talent and imagination of the local community.
From 9 July to 14 October, these gorillas form part of the Go Wild Gorillas art trail. They will then be proudly displayed alongside the 40 life-size gorillas at the farewell event at Jersey Zoo. These small gorillas will not go to auction, but will be returned to their creators to go on display for people to enjoy for years to come.
