Marcus spent his childhood in Jersey, including work experience in the reptile house at Durrell. At the age of 12 won a local competition which took him to Tiger Tops deep in the jungles of Nepal, tiger trekking for three weeks. This strengthened his love of wildlife and his dream to be Mowgli. He trained in Fashion and Textiles Design at the prestigious Saint.Martin’s School of Art, London and further specialized in Menswear Design at the Royal College of Art. He has pursued a career working internationally as a menswear designer, has illustratrated children’s books for W.W.F and was invited to paint a rickshaw for Mark Shand’s ‘Travels to my Elephant’ charity auction at St.James’ Palace. Returning to the Island regularly he has become the most successful designer in the history of the ‘Battle of Flowers’, known for his giant creations for the Parish of St.Clement.
