Young Gorilla

Beau

School: Beaulieu School

Our gorilla is inspired by… Our school’s love and respect for Durrell and the fact that one of our house teams is called ‘Durrell’.

We decided to create this design to show that whilst gorillas may have scars from their experiences showing on the outside, they are still full of beauty. The whole point of our design is to help increase awareness of how gorillas are going extinct. Mainly because we as humans are cutting down their forests, causing global warming, poaching, and fighting civil wars close to their native habitat. We can no longer just ignore the destruction of these beautiful animals who are in fact one of our closest cousins. I hope our design raises more awareness for saving the gorillas.
