Our gorilla is inspired by our school's love and respect of Durrell and the fact that one of our house teams is called 'Durrell'.

We decided to create this design to show that whilst gorillas may have scars of their experiences showing on their outside, they are still full of beauty. The whole point of our design is to help increase awareness of how gorillas are going extinct! Because we as humans are cutting down their habitat, creating global warming, poaching, and fighting civil wars. We can no longer just ignore the extinction of these beautiful animals who in fact are one of our closest cousins. I hope our design raises more awareness for saving the gorillas.
